Lion & Unicorn Theatre to reopen for Live Performances from September 30th 2020
We are delighted to announce that the Lion & Unicorn Theatre is BACK for our first Covid-Secure performances since lockdown with some brand new work and some old favourites from Tuesday 30th September, as well as work from our brilliant team of in-house Associate Artists.
As you'd expect we're doing everything we can to keep you safe so we're keeping an eye on government guidelines for safety, social distancing regular cleaning and reduced audience capacity. Tickets must be booked online and in advance in allocated groups and our Duty Management team will be on site to look after you throughout your visit. For the time being, face coverings will be mandatory in the theatre while performances are ongoing.
Look out for some more exciting news from our in-house Associate Artists soon as we bring you some BRAND-NEW fringe theatre from some of London's most exciting theatre companies. We've been cooking up some brilliant plans for you over Lockdown and can't wait to show you!
The theatre is also open for Covid-Secure rehearsal bookings, workshops, filming, photography and other uses of the space on very favourable rates for emerging theatre companies. For more information visit our website.
A brand-new season of work will be announced shortly, led by Critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe show “The Man” by Patrick McPherson, which will open performances at the theatre from Sept 30th – Oct 2nd at 7.30pm. The Lion and Unicorn Pub is also open in line with government guidance for the safe reopening of hospitality venues. Offering a proper British Sunday lunch, daily brunches, coffee, wide selection of beers, cask ale and premium wines to quench your thirst in THE best heated beer garden alongside the best pub dog in London, there’s no better place to plan your pre or post show dinner or drinks (please note all bookings must be made in advance with table service only.)
AND - our submissions policy has reopened - Meaning that if you’ve got a show, a burning idea, or want some support to get your work made, send us your show via the submissions process on our website. We offer support, guidance for emerging theatre makers to get their work made in a warm and generous environment.

Social Distancing is likely to affect the theatre industry for some time, and this has placed a severe restriction on our activity for many months.
