Season 2 @ L and U!

We are delighted to announce details of our forthcoming SEASON 2 at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre in the heart of Kentish Town.

Following a highly successful launch season which saw the theatre provide a platform for the best of the fringe and beyond, and a revived Camden Fringe festival programme in Summer 2019, the theatre announces a new programme of shows for Autumn / Winter 2019.

Kicking off the season, Associate Artists Proforca Theatre Company present “At Last” by James Lewis and Alexander Knott, directed by David Brady with Jess Barton. At Last is a searing search for the truth as seven people face the consequences of 10 years of a totalitarian regime in the UK as a brave new world is born.

Following “At Last” we welcome shows from new theatre company “Kindling Collective” as well as new pieces of work from Loosely Based Theatre Company, Laughing Mirror, Laughing Stock Theatre Company, Tripped Theatre and LinC Theatre as well as work from the brilliant Uncanny Collective and James Broadley.

The theatre continues its quest to champion the best of new writing and talent on offer from London’s busy fringe theatre community with new writing nights from Bee in My Beanie, Hooked Theatre, & Far Cry Theatre Company.

In addition, the theatre is also delighted to be honouring its roots as a true pub theatre venue through hosting the inaugural London Pub Theatre Awards as well as the second part of the London Pub Theatres Festival run by Theatre Full Stop.

We round out the season with a very special Festive treat, as The Dickens Theatre Company present a special two week run of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, which rounds out a very busy and exciting 2019 for the theatre under its new management by Proforca Theatre Company.

The season launches with a very special Q & A following the Thursday evening performance of “At Last” which will be chaired by Terri Paddock for My Theatre Mates. For more information and to join us and our brilliant companies visit our website. We can’t welcome you back to Kentish Town this Autumn!

“In our opening season we welcomed the best of the fringe and Season Two continues in that tradition by welcoming some equally brilliant performers and creatives to the Lion & Unicorn Theatre. We’re going to explore the dark side, take some risks as well as fully embrace our roots and the best of London’s Pub Theatre as well as continuing in our mission to help the brilliant people that make up our fringe community to #BeWhoYouWantToBe.
